40 years of the wheelchair carousel. From Geeste to the whole world. A success story that we at Kinderland are really proud of. Developed in 1983 together with Lothar Köppel from Köppel Landschaftsarchitekten (Mühldorf/Inn), built by Kinderland in Geeste and installed for the first time at the Bavarian State School for the Physically Disabled in Munich, it has not aged a bit. Quite the opposite. Kinderland's classic still enables children with and without handicaps, with and without wheelchairs, to have fun together. In Munich and all over the world.
The wheelchair users' carousel is equipped with special drive and braking devices and can therefore be used well in public spaces. The individual play experience is based on the interaction of different levels of perception such as feeling, speed, balance, contact behaviour, coordination and seeing. The barrier-free carousel is available in all imaginable colours and colour combinations.
Simple, very stable and with a sun roof on request – this is how the new Inclusion Carousel from Kinderland presents itself as the youngest "family member" of the carousels for children with and without disabilities as well as people of all generations. The basic technology of the Kinderland classic – meanwhile proven for 40 years – is unchanged.
