Sun protection
Shading plays a vital part in protecting health and supporting the wellbeing of playground users — especially children. Shade-providing structures such as shade sails, parasols and other canopies help protect against harmful UV radiation. They also reduce heat stress and help prevent children from overheating. Kinderland has taken this topic seriously for many years and offers a wide range of innovative playground-shading products.
Shade elements and modules
Whether triangular or square, with side lengths of 4, 6, 8 or 10 metres, for sandpits or paddling pools — shade sails are an ideal way to create shade on playgrounds.
Made from technical textiles, these elegantly shaped shade sails impress with UV resistance, safety and a long service life.
Kinderland’s sunshine-yellow steel parasol welcomes young and old alike at the entrances to all 19 alla hopp! activity and community parks — and makes an ideal meeting point.
Measuring 4.70 m × 4.60 m, this sturdy parasol provides plenty of shade for carefree play.
In addition to the large Kinderland steel parasol and textile shade sails, Kinderland offers more than 20 smaller shading modules.
All modules consist of three or four smooth-sanded robinia posts and a sun-protection roof. The roof can be made from a range of materials — for example technical textile fabric, untreated robinia boards, lorry tarpaulin, stainless-steel sheet with cut-outs (painted in the colour of your choice), or a coloured acrylic panel.
