A new themed playground opened on Wartburgplatz in Berlin-Schöneberg in March 2008 – built by Kinderland Emsland Spielgeräte. The client is the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district authority in Berlin, and the design was produced by the Schrickel + Partner architectural practice from Berlin. The motto of this playground is KNIGHTS’ TIME. The ‘guards’ of the castle complex – carved from oak and finished with coloured glaze – welcome visitors at the drawbridge of the castle gate.
