Colourful climbing on Dusseldorf’s Edisonplatz

Incorporating existing elements into playground planning is always an interesting challenge. In this case, concrete walls have been given greater prominence as part of the site and equipped with climbing grips.

An exciting playground with lots of different elements is now located in the middle of the concrete walls. Between the individual wall elements, visitors encounter a combination of nets, ropes and steel posts that invite them to play, climb and get moving.

They can clamber over different heights and surfaces to reach the play tower, before swinging down again via the slide to climb up the tower via a different route.
