Berlin, Friedrich-Drake Primary School

Up and down the schoolyard

Friedrich-Drake Primary School in Berlin opened in 2014/2015 and has now been given a special outdoor play area with a large play trail and other play stations.

The play trail, made up of glazed Douglas Fir squared timbers, climbing walls, nets and numerous balancing options encourages pupils – and no doubt the teachers, too – to climb, balance and play. The spectacular freefall slide provides additional thrills.

The Hanseatic-themed swing, also made of Douglas fir, can be played with by several children at the same time, thus encouraging joint play.
